Highly personalized: Unlike many large, overburdened healthcare systems, our practice is small, allowing for a close and trusting relationship. Women and their families tend to feel more involved and empowered in their care and experiences.

Holistic and woman-centered: Midwives focus on your overall well-being, including physical, emotional, psychological, social, familial, and spiritual health. We spend a lot of time getting to know you, what values are most important to you, and meeting you exactly where you are. The word Midwife means “with woman.”

Empowerment through education: We emphasize deep conversations about preparation, true informed consent, taking time to answer questions and ensuring you understand all of your options so that you can make decisions that feel right for you.

Specialized and intimate setting: All care is provided in your home or a cozy office, creating a more intimate and comfortable atmosphere.

Prenatal care with Motherly Love is grounded in connection, education, wellness, and respect for your unique experience. Each visit offers both thorough physical assessment and space for meaningful relationship and conversation — an opportunity to check on you and your baby, answer questions, and provide genuine, individualized care and support as you prepare for childbirth and parenthood.

Midwifery care appointments are typically longer than in standard medical settings, often lasting 45 minutes to an hour, so there’s time to talk deeply about how you’re feeling, what’s changing in your body, and any concerns you may have. During visits, we listen to the baby’s heartbeat using a doppler or fetoscope, measure your growing belly, check vital signs, assess for risks, and monitor your overall health. But beyond those essentials, we also focus on nutrition, movement, emotional well-being, family life, and how you’re adjusting to pregnancy. Longer prenatal visits also help us build a solid relationship, and a foundation of trust. Involving Dads as they prepare for birth and postpartum is also a really important consideration, and every effort is made to enhance their experience.

You’re encouraged to take an active role in your care. Together, we discuss your options for testing and screening, standard recommendations, taking into account your values, preferences, and your overall vision for the kind of experience you desire. Every decision is shared—you’re fully informed, supported, and respected.

Midwifery care continues on well beyond birth, supporting you, your baby, and your family during the first weeks postpartum. I provide several home visits to closely monitor your physical recovery—checking vital signs, evaluating healing, ensuring your body is recovering well and that any discomforts are addressed. At the same time, I carefully monitor your baby’s growth, weight, feeding, and overall well-being to ensure they are thriving. I will evaluate risk, consult and provide referrals and resources as necessary.

These visits also create space for conversation, guidance, and reassurance. We offer all of the standard newborn screenings, and help you file for your baby’s Birth Certificate. I provide hands-on support with breastfeeding, answer questions about newborn care, and help you navigate the emotional and practical adjustments of life with a newborn.

Through attentive, compassionate follow-up, midwives help you and your family navigate the early weeks with confidence, calm, and care, making this transformative time more safe and supported.
